So now we have the concept of what a poet or poetry is, what the hell does “Core” mean in fashion, in short it's an industry buzz word that means a foundational style that defines a specific aesthetic, brand, or trend… Its essence at the (Core)…

Poet Core is fun since its essence is up to interpretation much like poetry itself is. Poets come in all kinds of genres, styles, and even cultural backgrounds. So a eurocentric view of poet aesthetics could be very different from a pacific islanders idea of the same thing.

The semi agreed upon essence of poet-core however would be a romanticization of the visual ideals of poets, writers, and other literary based aesthetics. Pushing forward personal expression, the art of noticing details within the style and one's self, and an often soft, muted, or jewel toned color pallet. It often references whimsy, romanticism, and vintage concepts within clothing choices. It is a push for people to embrace their personal style, creativity, and attention / care into the fashion choices they make daily.

Poet - Core allows for individualization within the style, with lots of room to discover what exactly you are inspired by, what feels like poetry to yourself as an individual today…

For some Poet - Core may mean vintage leather, stained coffee cups, dusty book shops, plated brass, and jewel tones.

For others it may be cozy sweaters, a well loved diary, a steaming cup of tea from a porcelain cup, knee high socks with long skirts, and a refurbished type writer.

The bold poet may find poetry in wine stained lips, leather pants, inky fingers, and creating under the light of the 2 am moon…

I could go on and on describing the desert poet with paint on her jeans and white tank top, the city poet with pomegranate stained finger tips smudging into her vision board, the country poet jotting down her observations while laying is grass with her horse wondering when its time to head back to the barn, even the suburban poet whose style is a romantic rebellion to the status quo drawing sonnets on the walls of her bedroom.

Poet - Core is an endless style aesthetic because it is based in creativity, curiosity, detail, and our own personal experiences of what poetry can be.

So the question is, What kind of Poet are you today and your own core?
